Cookie Policy

Last updated July 2026

This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage ClipEZ uses, and how to control them. ClipEZ is operated by Oleksandr Pavlovych, Pitterova 2855/11, 130 00 Prague 3, Czech Republic. For how we handle personal data more broadly, see our Privacy Policy.

The banner offers two choices. Accept turns on analytics in addition to the essential cookies. Essential only keeps just the cookies the site cannot work without — you can browse and use ClipEZ with no analytics at all, but the essential ones cannot be switched off, because sign-in and checkout depend on them.

Strictly necessary (always on)

These are required for the site to work and do not need consent. Disabling them would break sign-in or checkout.

  • Clerk — authentication session and sign-in state (e.g. __session, __client_uat).
  • Polar — checkout and billing portal session during a payment.
  • Consent choice— your accept/decline answer to the analytics banner, kept in browser storage so we don't ask again.

Analytics (consent required)

These are only set after you accept. They help us understand how the product is used so we can improve it. You can decline or withdraw at any time below.

  • PostHog — product analytics: page views and the features you use, stored against a random device identifier (e.g. ph_*). Nothing is captured, and no analytics cookie is written, until you accept.

While you are signed out this identifier is not tied to a person — we ask PostHog not to build a profile for anonymous visitors. Once you sign in we link it to your account so we can see how the product is used across the website, the desktop app, and mobile. We do not record your screen, we do not capture clicks and form fields automatically, and query strings are stripped from the page URLs we send.

Your videos, audio, transcripts, and project contents are never sent to PostHog.

Managing your choice

Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it. Use the button below to reopen the consent banner and switch between Accept and Essential only, or clear cookies in your browser settings. The desktop and mobile apps ask the same question on first run, and you can change your answer there under Settings.
