Accounts

You need an account to use ClipEZ, and you must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. Keep your credentials secure — activity under your account is your responsibility. We may change or withdraw parts of the service over time.

What the service does

ClipEZ is available on desktop, in a supported desktop browser, and on mobile. The desktop app can edit and export recordings on your computer. Browser and mobile editing use cloud recordings and processing. Available import and export features differ by platform.

Eligible accounts receive one free trial with 10 hours of managed stream analysis, shared across devices. No payment card is required and the trial does not renew or charge you. After those hours are used, subscribe to continue. The trial does not refill each month. We match verified email aliases to prevent repeat trials.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you import, create, or export. You grant us only the limited licence needed to run the service for you: to process, transmit, and store your content so the features you turn on can work. We don't use your videos, audio, or transcripts to train models, and we don't sell them.

Acceptable use

You are responsible for having the rights to every video you process. ClipEZ can import from Twitch, YouTube, and Kick; downloading from those platforms is governed by their terms, and using ClipEZ does not grant you rights you don't otherwise have. Don't use ClipEZ to infringe copyright, to process content you have no right to, or to break the law. If something stored on our servers infringes your copyright, our Copyright Policy explains how to report it.

Don't abuse the service itself: no reselling access, no circumventing the subscription gate or usage limits, no automated scraping of our APIs, and nothing that degrades the service for other people.

Plans and payment

Who bills you depends on where you subscribe. A subscription bought on the website or in the desktop app is billed in advance through Stripe Managed Payments. Those purchases are sold through Link, Stripe’s merchant of record service. A subscription bought inside the ClipEZ iOS app is billed by Apple through your Apple Account, and Apple is the merchant of record for that purchase.

Website and desktop plans bill monthly and renew automatically until you cancel. Displayed website and desktop prices include applicable tax. App Store prices and renewal terms are shown by Apple before purchase. Prices and included hours of stream analysis are shown at the time you subscribe.

You can cancel at any time: a website or desktop plan from Settings in ClipEZ or the billing portal; an App Store plan in Settings → Subscriptions on your device. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and you keep access until then. Top-ups are one-off purchases and do not renew.

For a website or desktop purchase, contact support@clipez.app for help with a refund. You can also request transaction support and refunds through Link. For an App Store purchase, request the refund from Apple. If you are a consumer in the EU you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase, except where you asked us to start the service immediately and confirmed at checkout that you lose that right once we do.

After the free trial ends, access requires an active subscription or remaining purchased analysis hours. If a payment fails or a subscription lapses and no purchased hours remain, editing and export stop working until access is restored. This does not delete your projects.

Usage limits

Plans include a monthly allowance of managed stream analysis. When it runs out, you can wait for the next month or buy a one-time top-up of 10 hours. Cloud stream storage is subject to a per-account quota; we may ask you to remove stored streams once you exceed it.

Availability

ClipEZ is under active development. Features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove them. We aim to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation, and we may take it down for maintenance. Third-party platforms we integrate with can change or break their own interfaces, which may affect imports or playback.

Third-party services

ClipEZ relies on providers including Clerk (authentication), Stripe/Link (payments), Apple and RevenueCat (App Store purchases), Deepgram (transcription), and OpenAI (highlight and chapter generation). Their handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of Twitch, YouTube, or Kick remains subject to their terms.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using ClipEZ and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we'll refund any unused prepaid period. Deleting your account removes your data from our servers as described in the Privacy Policy; the projects on your own computer are unaffected.

Disclaimers and liability

AI-generated highlights, chapters, and transcripts are suggestions and will sometimes be wrong. Review anything you publish. The service is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost content you have not backed up. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect, and continuing to use ClipEZ after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, and disputes go to the courts of the Czech Republic, without affecting any mandatory protections of your country of residence — if you are a consumer you keep the protections of the law where you live and may bring a claim in your own courts.

Consumers can also settle a dispute out of court through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), adr.coi.cz.
