Terms of Service
Last updated July 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Oleksandr Pavlovych, a sole trader registered in the Czech Republic, IČO 24870501, with a place of business at Pitterova 2855/11, 130 00 Prague 3, Czech Republic ("we", "us") for the ClipEZ desktop app, mobile app, and website. By creating an account or using ClipEZ you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
Accounts
You need an account to use ClipEZ, and you must be old enough to enter a contract where you live. Keep your credentials secure — activity under your account is your responsibility. ClipEZ is in closed beta, so access is granted by invitation and we may change or withdraw it while the beta runs.
What the service does
ClipEZ is desktop-first. Your videos, audio, and projects live on your own computer, and the app analyzes them locally or through our managed cloud features — transcription and AI highlight detection — depending on your settings. Optional features sync projects and store streams on our servers so you can reach them from the mobile app.
Editing and export require an active subscription in every mode, including when you run transcription locally.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you import, create, or export. You grant us only the limited licence needed to run the service for you: to process, transmit, and store your content so the features you turn on can work. We don't use your videos, audio, or transcripts to train models, and we don't sell them.
Acceptable use
You are responsible for having the rights to every video you process. ClipEZ can import from Twitch, YouTube, and Kick; downloading from those platforms is governed by their terms, and using ClipEZ does not grant you rights you don't otherwise have. Don't use ClipEZ to infringe copyright, to process content you have no right to, or to break the law. If something stored on our servers infringes your copyright, our Copyright Policy explains how to report it.
Don't abuse the service itself: no reselling access, no circumventing the subscription gate or usage limits, no automated scraping of our APIs, and nothing that degrades the service for other people.
Plans and payment
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring monthly basis through Polar, our payment provider and merchant of record. Prices and included transcription hours are shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. Your plan renews automatically until you cancel.
You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and you keep access until then. Credit packs are one-off purchases and do not renew.
Polar is the merchant of record for every purchase, so refunds are issued by Polar under its refund terms rather than by us. Write to support@clipez.app and we'll raise it with them. If you are a consumer in the EU you have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase, except where you asked us to start the service immediately and confirmed at checkout that you lose that right once we do.
If a payment fails or a subscription lapses, editing and export stop working until billing is current. Your projects stay on your computer either way.
Usage limits
Plans include a monthly allowance of managed transcription. When it runs out you can top up with a credit pack or wait for the next billing period. Cloud stream storage is subject to a per-account quota; we may ask you to remove stored streams once you exceed it.
Beta and availability
ClipEZ is under active development. Features may change, and we may add, modify, or remove them. We aim to keep the service available but do not promise uninterrupted operation, and we may take it down for maintenance. Third-party platforms we integrate with can change or break their own interfaces, which may affect imports or playback.
Third-party services
ClipEZ relies on providers including Clerk (authentication), Polar (payments), and our AI and transcription vendors. Their handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. Your use of Twitch, YouTube, or Kick remains subject to their terms.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using ClipEZ and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service — in which case we'll refund any unused prepaid period. Deleting your account removes your data from our servers as described in the Privacy Policy; the projects on your own computer are unaffected.
Disclaimers and liability
AI-generated highlights, chapters, and transcripts are suggestions and will sometimes be wrong. Review anything you publish. The service is provided "as is" to the extent the law allows, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost content you have not backed up. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect, and continuing to use ClipEZ after that means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic, and disputes go to the courts of the Czech Republic, without affecting any mandatory protections of your country of residence — if you are a consumer you keep the protections of the law where you live and may bring a claim in your own courts.
Consumers can also settle a dispute out of court through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce), adr.coi.cz.
